Keep in mind when you MI's drop you are going to get a HUGE amount of threat added way more then any tank would produce in the beginning 30/s of any raid boss, we combat this by simply using invisibility in the in the final seconds of MI to erase all established threat and start over with 0 threat ( basically the same threat u would have if you bodied pulled ). Fight starts pop MI and blow all CD's for top DPS continue your typical max DPS rotation until 5 seconds remain on MI copies.
Proper ways to use this spell in a raid enviroment would be as follows.
However after the 30/s are up and the images collapse all the threat u previously were not seeing is added in (including the threat the copies produce). Firstly as mentioned before upon using this skill threat does drop to 0% and during this time u can not pull agro. failure to use CDs most likely means failure to use a hot streak pyroblast when it procs.Ĭomentario de 303401after reading the posts on this skill I did not notice anyone touching on a few key facts about this skill. I must contradict myself however, because if you have mirror image up(ie-ready to be used) theres something wrong. so body pulling will cause them to come for you if your alone in that sence. remember that 0.0% threat is higher than "blank" threat. this does NOT make you invincible though. you can go Arcane Explosion happy in the spider wing of Naxx and generate no threat. Omen will show you at 0.0% threat for those 30 seconds.
Now among being flamed, yelled at, and talked to by your GM/RL/class lead/everybody else.you should get it well enough and if you pop mirror image he will kill your three clones and you have 30 seconds of aggro free dps in which it would be very wise to use invis(assuming Malygos doesn't use his frontal cone attack and wipe the raid)ģ0 seconds of aggro free dps.this helps me bypass the slow start for warrior and druid tanks while they stack their debuffs. So for example lets say your fighting Malygos and you pull aggro off the main tank. i say "sort" because your aggro goes to your clones if you have any upon use. On top of that it serves as a "sort" of aggro wipe. When you use mirror image, for the next 30 seconds" whether the mirror images live or die" you generate ZERO threat, and the clones themselves generate minimal threat aswell. In game does not state this, wowhead says that.
When the images die, you will regain back all of your threat, however.Ĭomentario de 125087 Effect #1Ěpply Aura: Mod Total Threat (Fade) When you cast mirror image it "tricks" NPCs and they will not attack you as long as at least one of your mirror images remains.
If you look on the top of this page, you'll see that the first spell effect is a very powerful fade. The spell has some very interesting and useful properties in PvE, in addition to the obvious DPS increase. They will not run out of mana under normal conditions. They also had nearly 11k mana, which is more than enough considering their spells cost only ~100 mana and they last only 30 seconds at maximum. I have 10.9k life, and my images had ~2230 health. Similarly, their health scales with the mage. When I removed my staff and had 685 spell power, they hit for ~235. When I had 981 spell power, the frostbolts were hitting for ~265 damage each. Their spell damage scales with your own spell power. The mirror images cast a fireblast and a frostbolt. Your enemies may click the wrong target and waste a cast. However, the spell does have the potential to momentarily confuse targets in PvP. A smart player should easily be able to determine the "real" mage because of his movement patterns and the variety of spells he can cast. The names above the heads of the mirror images display as your own name, not "Mirror Image." Therefore, it is more difficult to distinguish between yourself and the images.
